Bath Remodel and Decor Update

Company was coming and the homeowner needed updates fast! We transformed the front room to a warm, relaxing and inviting dining room by adding deep red paint, re-purposing as the dining table a gate leg table previously used in the den, adding curtains and a colorful yet subdued rug, moving unused chairs from elsewhere in the home to the dining table, re-covering the chair cushions with an elegant fabric, and placing the display shelves in a prominent position flanking the homeowner's sentimental artwork that deserved to be hung in a place of importance.

The guest bath received a complete facelift.  The old vanity was replaced with a 36" tall cabinet that better serves a tall son and a cultured marble top that offers a luxurious update. The 2x2 tiles forming the backsplash in combination with the bronze fixtures set the rustic feel the homeowner desired. The vanity light was replaced and hung higher on the wall to give the illusion of a taller space. A new tub, ceiling height tile with a highlight of the 2x2 tiles, a fresh paint color, and rustic bronze hardware completed the transformation.

New cabinet fronts and hardware were placed on the linen closet at the end of the hallway.  Their updated appearance in combination with more dramatic paint colors, bronze door hardware and hinges, and new light fixtures gave this important area of the home a new sense of style.

The guest bedroom was given a quick refresher with new floor length curtains in a fabric that coordinated with the homeowner's bedding, colorful pillows added to the existing bedding to add a splash of color and texture, a warm brown paint on the walls, new paneled closet doors, and a dramatic display of some of the homeowner's black and white photography.
